India is a country that has left many impressed, and some others has stolen their hearts, here some of the reasons that make India a place that should not be set aside to meet at least once in life.

#1. India has never invaded any country in the last 100,000 years.

#2. When most cultures were nomads in the forests more than 5,000 years ago, the Indians had settled in Harappa in the Sindhu Valley.

# 7. The First Temple of the Granite World is the Brihadeswara Temple in Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The shikhara of the temple is made of a single piece of 80 tons of granite. This magnificent temple was built in only five years, (between 1004 AD and 1009 AD) during the reign of Rajaraja Chola.

# 8. India is the world’s largest democracy, the seventh largest country in the world, and one of the oldest civilizations.

# 9. The game of “Serpents and Ladders” was created by the poet Gyandev in the 13th century. It was originally called ‘Mokshapat’. The stairs represent the virtues and vices indicated with the snakes. The game was played with shells and dice. Over time, the game underwent several modifications, but its meaning remained the same: good deeds lead people to heaven and evil to a cycle of rebirths.
