Accommodations in India

Hotel Royal Haveli – Jaisalmer

New Delhi – Jugaad Hostel

This is a hostel for backpackers / backpackers who spend a few days in New Delhi . The quality / price ratio it offers to its guests is perfect. There are shared rooms and private rooms, depending on the needs and tastes of each. The style of the hostel is very modern , the common areas with very traveling air, and also has a rooftop terrace ideal for taking the air, disconnecting and having breakfast. In addition to free wifi, breakfast included in the price and a lot of very interesting extra services for anyone visiting the capital of India: group tours, transfer service to go to the airport, purchase of train tickets …

Perhaps the only drawback I have is that it is somewhat away from the center and the main attractions of New Delhi, but paying a tuk tuk to the nearest metro stop, that problem is solved. There we spent our last night of the great journey of our lives and we have a very good memory of this accommodation. If you are looking for a clean, modern hostel for young backpackers and cheaply priced, the Jugaad Hostel is your accommodation in New Delhi!

Varanasi – Hotel Rivera Palace

Hotel located a step away from the river Ganges, near the ghats and the life of Varanasi . We believe that the best thing about this accommodation is without a doubt its location because it is close to the ghats area, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, which is much appreciated being in India and in such a chaotic city Like Varanasi

The building is an old renovated palace, with a very modern and western interior design. The rooms are large and spacious, and have everything you need: air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, private bathroom, strong, TV and Wi-Fi, although most days did not work quite well. They have daily cleaning service and breakfast included buffet-based: toast, fruit, coffee or tea, cereals, tortillas, and also local dishes.

They also offer other services such as the boat tour to see the sunrise sailing on the Ganges river , airport shuttle … The truth is that we were very comfortable the nights we stayed there and we would recommend it to anyone who wants a hotel that is well Price, comfortable and in a quiet area near the Ganges.

Agra – Hotel Taj Resorts

The Taj Resorts Hotel is a very good hotel, of a medium-high range category whose location is perfect. A few minutes from the Taj Mahal , in fact from its rooftop terrace you can see this Wonder of the World up close. The best thing if you are looking for an accommodation in Agra is that it is so close to the Taj Mahal that you can walk to it.

The rooms of this hotel are perfect, spacious, with a very comfortable bed, private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, free wifi … And breakfast included in the price, although it was not the best breakfast of the trip. But at least it was included. It is a very clean hotel, with a very friendly staff and that has a pool to cool off after a day touring Agra. In addition, you can pay by card and have a restaurant both for lunch and dinner with a la carte food. Perhaps what we liked least about the hotel is that it has no other restaurants nearby to go to.

But if you are looking for a good hotel, comfortable, clean and have the charm of being meters from the Taj Mahal, this is your accommodation in Agra.

Jaipur – Pearl Palace Heritage

This ancient palace located in the heart of Jaipur, was one of the best accommodations of the trip. And it is that this hotel is all art , from its facade, to the interior of its rooms, each with its personality and its painted walls, until the doors are decorated. The rooms are spacious, spacious, with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning, wifi and bathroom with shower and all kinds of amenitties, plus small fridge. They include two free bottles of water a day and have a pick-up service at no extra cost at the train station, which is very close to the hotel. The cleanliness is excellent and the team very friendly and helpful. What may fail you is that breakfast is not included in the price, but they offer the à la carte breakfast service. We tried it one day and the breakfast was very complete and affordable, we recommend it if you like how we have breakfast at the hotel before starting the day.

Another of the services that we liked the most is that a tuk tuk takes you and picks you up for free at its Peackock Rooftop restaurant located on the terrace of a hotel of the same family. It is only 5 minutes away and has a very pleasant atmosphere, with live music, a varied menu (with specialties of the country, but also Western) and very rich. We had dinner there every night and it was great. So if you are looking for a quiet place, full of charm, clean, comfortable and with all the services, the Pearl Palace Heritage is your accommodation in Jaipur.

Jodhpur – The Almond Tree Hotel

It is a perfect guesthouse in every way. For us it was the best accommodation of our entire 20-day trip through India . It is a large house located in a private urbanization, in which we feel at home. The owners are excellent people, they help you and they are watching you at all times, as well as all their staff. The spacious rooms, with lots of natural light, a king size bed from which you will never want to get up, tv, wifi, air conditioning, small fridge, a bathroom with huge dressing room and with all the necessary amenitties . It also has a rooftop terrace with magnificent views and a jacuzzi to cool off. The cleanliness is perfect and the food excellent.

To highlight, the exquisite breakfast that is included in the price . For us it is very important to start the days with a good breakfast and here we could not have better: cereals, muesli, juice, fruit, bread, tortillas to taste, chapati … and freshly made cappuccino! They also offer a delicious lunch and dinner menu. Country food, freshly made, homemade and exquisite. We had in this guesthouse our best dinners of the whole trip. The most negative, perhaps, is its situation, somewhat away from the city center. Exactly 10 minutes by tuk tuk from the center, but we can assure you that after a day of madness visiting Jodhpur, it is appreciated to arrive and be able to rest in such a quiet place. For all this, we recommend this accommodation.

What we liked the most: their breakfasts and dinners, homemade and freshly made food. What we liked least: that it is somewhat far from the center.

Jaisalmer – Hotel Royal Haveli

In Jaisalmer we were lucky enough to stay in one of those beautiful traditional architecture buildings , located just a few meters from the fortified city. This hotel, run by a local family, has everything a visitor could want. Large rooms, with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and private bathroom. The staff is attentive at all times for their guests, cares about their stay, offer recommendations and even organize the excursion to the Thar desert . It also has its own restaurant located on the rooftop terrace, which remains closed during the low season (summer months in India).

Its situation is very good and allows you to walk to any corner of the city. So if you are looking for a well located and economical place, the Royal Haveli Hotel is a good option.

What we liked the most: its situation. The thing we liked least: that the restaurant was closed and that they didn’t offer breakfast.

And with this last recommendation, our post of Accommodations in India ends We hope we have helped you in organizing your trip to this special place in the world.
