Ghaats along the Ganges

The Ganges River is part of the sacred city. The bank of the river is surrounded by huge pavilions made of a series of concrete that stop downhill just towards the body of the river, these are called Ghats, which are the main tourist attraction of Varanasi. The ghasses of Dashashwamedha, Asi, Barnasangam, Panchganga and Manikarnika, are some of the most remarkable and beautiful ghats of Varanasi. There are many legends that surround their beauty with mysticism. Take a boat early in the morning along the river, shows a horde of people who come to take a bath in the river and worship the rising sun.
